「超連結大廈」是一個建構於互聯網上的樓宇，也是不同藝術家的舞台，從網頁中，像打開立體摺紙書般，鑽進大厦中的十八個單位，每個單位住著不同的表演者、樂手、動畫家或裝置藝術家，從觀賞甚至參與他們的作品。

虛擬大廈內的十八個單位像一個（多媒體）管弦樂團，除了樂器還運用身體、影像、文字和機器同步演奏/展現音樂裏的不同部份；從主頁觀賞完整的大合奏，更可自行選擇任何單位拼合出獨特的配搭；在特定時間，其中的虛擬單位內會有串流直播，表演者現場與網頁內其餘單位作互動演出。

「超連結」Hyperlink 是作品引子，在網路內外，我們看似互不接觸，但各自的演出和動態其實是互相緊扣，透過這種超連結關係把我們在疫情下的限制，化成無限的空間和可能性。

這作品以音樂／聲音作為劇本，網頁上的虛擬大廈是場景，大廈內的十八個單位的演出和內容完全根據着音樂的不同部份衍生而成，無論在時間、氣氛、色彩和高低起伏都由這個音樂帶動。

Building Hyperlink is a building on the Internet, providing a stage for different artists. As visitors enter the website, a virtual pop-up book reveals the 18-unit building complex. Each unit houses a different performer, musician, animator or installation artist. Visitors can view or even participate in their performances as they wander around in the building.

The 18 units of the building come together like a multimedia orchestra. Apart from musical instruments, the tenants/ artists perform with body movements, images, text and machines to create a synchronized ensemble or to demonstrate excerpts of the music. Visitors can view the ensemble performance on the home page first before moving on to select any combination of different units to create their own unique experience. Streaming will happen at specific times in various units with live performers engaging in interactive performances with other online artists.

Hyperlink is the prelude of this project. It might seem that the artists have no contact on- or off- line. And yet, each performance and movement is connected through this hyperlink. It is this hyperlink that allows us to transform the limitations sprung up from the pandemic into a space and possibilities that are infinite.

Set in the virtual building, all performances of the 18 units are based on the same piece of music / sound composition, each playing different excerpts. The score is our script that guides the timing, mood, colours and the flow.

梁基爵一直活躍於香港的作曲家、媒體藝術家，作品曾於國際不同獎項提名或獲獎；近年創作多個革新媒體藝術作品，將空間、裝置、視覺藝術混合於現場表演中。梁氏作品分別於奧地利 Ars Electronica、澳亞藝術節、雅典數碼藝術節及法國EXIT數碼電子藝術節展出，並於2018年憑裝置作品《忐忑》獲得英國著名媒體藝術獎Lumen Prize之 3D／互動獎項。

Leung Kei-cheuk aka GayBird is a multidisciplinary artist, composer and electronic musician active in Hong Kong. In recent years, Leung has shown a significant interest in revolutionizing new multimedia works, blending elements of spatiality, installation, visual arts into live performances. His creations have been featured in international exhibitions such as Ars Electronica Festival (Linz), OzAsia Festival (Adelaide), Digital Art Festival (Athens), EXIT Festival (Paris), Technology Art Festival (Taipei), IFVA Everywhere (HK) and Detour (HK). In 2018, his innovative installation work Fidgety won the 3D/Interactive Award in the renowned Lumen Prize for Art and Technology in the UK.
